  • Thank you for sharing the spaces in between care, friendship, exhaustion, improvising, trying to help, managing energy levels. I appreciate this experience.

  • Over the past three years, it has been a privilege to witness the evolution of Sarah and Liz's partnership. They are not only exceptional artists but also thoughtful and generous collaborators. Their work challenges existing norms while offering practical, creative solutions for more sustainable artistic practices.

  • Moving! It reminded me of my own experience of trauma and PTSD. Two people trying to meet in space and reassure but missing each other. You two, you made me want to cuddle you both and join in alongside.

  • In a cold room, nobody was shivering during the performance because there was so much warmth between the dancers.

  • When I see you try, it gives me the energy to take you with me. We will rest together but first we need to carry on. Just one more. I need to rest but I’m not allowed. I will get back up and we will feed each other. Keep going - Okay, I’ll try - I can’t - please keep going - I don’t know if I can but I’ll try - thanks keep going. I will give you more than I have because you need it. I will take what you can give because I need to.

  • Sarah and Liz have created something genuinely tender and moving which is at once deeply personal and specific to their own lives and the friendship between them, and at the same time speaks to universal ideas around vulnerability, care and support. The generosity in the unique way that this work is presented, and the offer to audiences, makes it at times feel less like a duet, and more a collaboration between everyone who is sharing the space, including the audience. The warmth of this offer, combined with the truly excellent built-in access practices, renders it a piece which could be successful with a wide range of audiences, including both seasoned dance audiences and those who are very new to dance, as well as those with complex access needs.
